Why choose Buttercups Nursery School?

Here at Buttercups we offer your child learning opportunities to aid their development and learning in a fun and child centred environment.

Whilst learning through play each child is given the chance to be treated as an individual. We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). We offer a nurturing home from home environment for babies from 3 months to children of 5 years. We work closely with our families to meet the individual needs of every child. Our qualified, friendly staff inspire your children through interaction and play with others to build their confidence and teach new skills ready for the transition to school.

Our play rooms have a wide range of appropriate resources, alongside fantastic outside spaces which are used all year round. An in-house cook provides fresh and nutritious meals and snacks daily.

We use Tapestry as a digital scrap book, alongside nursery Genie which provides you with a daily report and a view of your child’s day.

We are passionate about providing the highest quality of childcare and will inspire your child to develop and grow in confidence.  We work closely in partnership with our families to meet the needs of each individual child

Our Nursery Practitioners

We are committed to ongoing development and support staff through their careers with us. We offer them many ongoing training opportunities to gain new skills.

Security at Buttercups Nursery School

The safety of your child is paramount during their time at nursery, our premises are risk assessed daily, this procedure is monitored and updated on a continual basis and any problems identified are dealt with promptly. We operate a signing in and out system as well as a room registration, so at all times we know how many children we have on the premises. Only the parent/carer or pre-notified adults are allowed to collect the child from nursery. Please note that during play children will fall and possibly bump, bruise or graze themselves. We have a trained first aider on the premises at all times.

Opening Times

We want to support our families so within our setting we offer 3 possible calendars; adhoc, term time only (mirrored to the local schools' calendar) and our 43 week calendar (which includes Nursery holidays for two weeks at Christmas, one week at Easter and the month of August). Our current calendars can be viewed by clicking here.

We offer extended opening hours from 7am – 6pm Monday to Friday.

Fees and Sessions

Fees are payable by the 1st of every month by invoice in advance. Fees are payable even if your child is absent due to illness or closure of the Nursery due to unforeseen circumstances e.g. storm/power cut/pandemic. The fees are payable for your child’s space here at Buttercups (not for their attendance) but we DO NOT charge for when we are closed e.g. Bank Holiday's & Nursery holidays!

Funding for 2/3/4 year olds is available on the completion of relevant funding forms each term, and is only claimable with a valid birth certificate.
