Buttercups Nursery School

At Buttercups nursery school we provide quality childcare for babies from three months to children aged 4 years. We also provide wrap around care for older children, aged 5-11 years old. Our opening hours are 7am to 6pm, Monday to Friday, term time only.

Extra Hours:  These can be booked, provided they are requested prior to 2pm on the Tuesday preceding the week in which childcare is needed.  Last minute sessions with 50% off may be available at the nursery, these sessions will be emailed to parents weekly.

Fees Payable: Fees for booked hours and activities are always payable, whether the child attends or not. These are payable monthly in advance and entry to nursery can be restricted if fees are outstanding. To terminate a booking, notice of four working weeks is required.

3 & 4 Year Old Funding: Buttercups offers funded early education for 3 and 4 year olds. This gives universal provision from the term following a child’s third birthday up until they reach compulsory school age, for every child. All 3 and 4 year olds are eligible to receive 15 hours nursery education funding a week during term time. 30 hours funding can be applied for via the local authority (30 Hour Funding Consent Form can be completed here).

2 Year Old Funding: We offer a number of free early education places for 2 year olds subject to families meeting the Department for Education’s eligibility criteria.  Parents are required to provide an eligibility letter, which we will check with the local authority before you can access your free funded two year old place.

On Joining

A one off non-refundable administration fee: £45 this includes a Nursery t-shirt, an embroidered Rucksack & water bottle.

​

A deposit of £50 is required to reserve a space in advance and this is deducted from your first invoice. For example, booking a space in February to start in September.

​

No administration fee is required for funded only places.

 

Late Payments

• Late payment of fees, after the 1st of the month, will attract a £5.00 charge and after the 3rd of the month, a £12.50 charge for each week the fee remains outstanding.

• Bounced payments will attract a £35 administration fee.

Additional Services

Sun Cream: £10.00 per year. All children will have sun cream applied at regular intervals throughout the nursery day. We will use Gompels 50SPF Lotion High Protection.  This applies throughout the Summer term.

 

Late Collection Charges

• £5.00 plus the hourly rate until collection is made will be added per child if a telephone call is received in advance of your pick up time.

• £20 per child plus the hourly rate until collection is made if no telephone call is received.

• A further £7.50 surcharge will be added if notice is not given

• Collection after closing time will attract a further £30 surcharge

Emergency Childcare

• Emergency places for one off bookings, if available will require a £5 administration fee.

Special Needs

• Special needs support is available at a ratio of 1:1 at £9.95 per hour, unless provided by the Local Authority. Please speak to the Nursery Manager for more details.
