MEALS & MENUS
Breakfast is served between 7am - 8am at a cost of £2.00 per day.

Lunch is at midday at a cost of £3.50 per day (added to your monthly invoice).
​
Tea is served at 4pm at a cost of £2.50.

We encourage all children to have a hot lunch at Nursery but understand if you want your child to have a lunch box. If your child would prefer a lunch box, we ask that you send it in a named container. We ask, in accordance with our Healthy Eating Policy that no fizzy drinks, sweets or chocolate are sent to nursery (and that sugary and fatty foods are kept to a minimum).

All Dietary Requirements are available on all meals. Fresh Fruit is offered/available at every mealtime. Very young children may have alternative on occasions. Our Summer 2022 Menu can be found below:
5-star Food Hygiene Rating
Buttercups Nursery has been awarded the maximum 5 stars for food hygiene by the Food Standards Agency.

The Food Safety Officer inspecting a nursery checks how well the nursery is meeting the law by looking at the following areas:

How hygienically the food is handled – how it is prepared, cooked, re-heated, cooled and stored
-
The condition of the structure of the building – the cleanliness, layout, lighting, ventilation and other facilities
-
How the nursery manages and records what it does to make sure food is safe.
At the end of the inspection, the nursery is given one of the six ratings. The top rating of ‘5’ means that Buttercups Nursery has ‘very good’ hygiene standards.
